OUR STORY

Showing Up for Ghanaian Communities Since 2020

The Giveback Foundation, led by our founder Rebecca Tiwaah Boafo, was born out of simple, direct action. In early 2020, we looked at the growing vulnerabilities facing children in Accra's low-income suburbs—brilliant minds in schools without basic textbooks, children in care centers without stable nutrition, and street-connected youth slipping through the cracks of social safety nets.

Rather than waiting for distant grants, we decided to show up on the ground, distributing meals and paying pediatric fees out of pocket. Over the years, our outreach missions have taken us beyond Accra to the frontlines of child welfare. We have visited and supported institutions such as Kumasi Children’s Home, Perfect Peace Orphanage (twice), Remar Orphanage, Edwenase Rehabilitation Centre, and Kumasi South Hospital.

These experiences helped us better understand the vulnerabilities many children continue to face and why faster, coordinated intervention systems are so important. What stays with us the most is what we have seen with our own eyes in these communities: real children, real families, and situations where help was needed urgently but sometimes arrived too late. This reality drives our commitment to build transparent, reliable pathways for child protection and welfare across Ghana.

Our Mission

To build stable, supportive environments for vulnerable children, families, schools, and orphanages in Ghana through direct community outreach, educational sponsorships, medical screening aids, and structural support.

Our Vision

An Africa where every child is safe, healthy, educated, and empowered to break the cycle of poverty, supported by strong, caring communities and transparent systems.

VALUES IN ACTION

The Values That Guide Us

How we stay aligned with our community roots day after day.

Compassion

We stand with vulnerable communities, treating every child, parent, and elder with the utmost dignity, love, and respect.

Direct Service

We focus on practical actions that produce immediate results on the ground: textbooks delivered, meals cooked, fees paid.

Radical Integrity

Every single donation, school kit, and supply bag is accounted for, ensuring transparent reporting for donors and communities.

Community Cohesion

We work hand-in-hand with local chiefs, parents, schoolteachers, and clinic doctors, ensuring our support is culturally rooted.

Consistency

We don't believe in one-off donations. We check back, run recurring campaigns, and monitor welfare outcomes long-term.

Hope & Innovation

We leverage modern technology (like A.G.E.N.T) to solve complex humanitarian challenges, bringing safety and hope.
